“Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” -Philippians 4:8

Veritatis Splendor (Latin for: the Splendor of Truth) is a document that was written by Saint Pope John Paul II in 1993. In it, he speaks much about morality and virtue, with the ultimate goal of leading people to the Truth.

The Truth does indeed have a magnificence about it. As one of the three transcendentals, it is something that all people long for. Truth, Goodness, and Beauty are pursued by all, so my attempt here will be to present the opportunity to reflect on those things. And the three of them cannot help but be connected to one another; if one is pursued and found, the others cannot be far behind. In the search for Truth, Goodness and Beauty are encountered along the way.

If you remain in My word, you will truly be My disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” –John 8:31-32
